Dovindutt (Navin) Baichoo

Joined AFRITAC South in October 2013 as Economist. He previously worked at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Mauritius, as lead analyst and has significant experience in the area of macroeconomic and fiscal policy, public financial management, debt management and Government Finance Statistics (GFS). During his career at the Ministry he also served as Director of various corporate bodies in the financial services sector and represented the Ministry in international meetings. He contributed to the introduction of the Tax Expenditure Budget, transition from the GFS 1986 to the GFS 2001, reform of the Statistics and the graduation of Mauritius to the IMF Special Data Dissemination Standards (SDDS).
